Come Alone.
Leave with a Community.
There are no strangers here.
Only friends you haven't yet met.

Five years ago, I designed the Palm Beach Gardens Soirée Series based on a simple concept: in-house, intimate chamber and solo concerts that would bring great performances directly to audiences’ living rooms. Through these concerts, I have seen audience members develop personal relationships to the great works and composers from Witold Lutoslawski to Fritz Kreisler to Jessie Montgomery. The people in this community often relate detailed stories to me of the images, feelings and memories each work brings to the surface. I have seen people make new friends at these soirées, bonding over the music as an extension of the raw humanity of daily life. I have had the privilege of sharing wine, cheese and conversation with each member of my soirée audience. I’ve sang songs with them and set off fireworks together after the concerts. Come alone and leave with a community.
This summer I had the treasured opportunity to perform a couple of quartet recitals as part of this series with my lifelong friends Robin and Rebecca Tozzie and Manuel Papale. It was a joy to share our friendship and artistry with both our in person audience and our audience on Zoom, who tuned in from all over the US, Canada, London and Europe.
